Despite the title of their latest album, there is no blemish in the great light that Half Moon Run cast. We spoke over the phone with Dylan Phillips [drums, right centre] prior to the band’s show in Victoria.

Make rock wild again.

That’s a mission that Kelowna’s The Wild! have been embarking on, and one that has caught on in their home country of Canada, as well as in Europe.

“It’s about to get heavy.”

Not only does this lyric open the chorus of “Devil”, but it is also a realization that Shinedown had early in the recording process of their latest album, Attention, Attention. This marks the band’s sixth studio album, and it’s their most honest one yet.

The ladder is theirs, and it’s one they’ve been climbing for over a decade. Welsh indie rock trio The Joy Formidable had an incredible 2018, releasing their fourth studio album, AAARTH, as well as touring with huge names in rock music like the Foo Fighters.

Jeff Gutt [pictured above, left center] is certainly an experienced pilot when it comes to navigating the airspace of the music industry. From his former band Dry Cell to being a finalist on The X-Factor in 2013, there was no hesitation to board the plane and fly Stone Temple Pilots at a steady cruising altitude.

Marianas Trench are not haunted by the echoes of the past - they are inspired by them. We caught up with the band prior to their show in Calgary to talk about their latest album, Phantoms, as well as the Suspending Gravity tour and their evolving career.

All we knew of PVRIS a few years ago was that they were fresh off a stellar debut release and a three-piece band that was certainly one to watch. Life is Good is both the name of Flogging Molly's latest album, as well as the mantra the band strives to live by. Flogging Molly has been a band for over 20 years, and first got their start playing at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles.

Pierce The Veil have been on quite the ride since the release of their fourth studio album, Misadventures, which was released in 2016. Misadventures packed a fast-paced punch and rattled its way into the mainstream, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Top 200.

Sometimes all you need is a bit of infectious indie pop to make your hands clap. Fitz and the Tantrums charmed the world in 2013 with their smash hit singles, "Out of My League," and "The Walker." In 2016, they dropped yet another hit, "HandClap," which has recently gone double platinum in Canada.

2017 has been a big year for Northlane. The metalcore quintet from Sydney, Australia have been touring relentlessly in support of their fourth album, Mesmer, which was released in late March of this year.
